MEDICAL SERVICES

EMERGENCY

here when it matters most

When someone calls 911, the care they need cannot wait.

Warwick EMS provides emergency medical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout Lititz Borough, Warwick Township, Elizabeth Township, and portions of Clay and Penn Townships. Our clinicians respond to medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, cardiac and respiratory events, pediatric emergencies, and other time-sensitive conditions.

Every call is different. Our responsibility remains the same: arrive prepared, assess what is happening, begin appropriate treatment, and help each patient reach the next level of care safely.

Paramedics provide advanced assessment and treatment for patients experiencing serious or life-threatening emergencies. ALS capabilities include cardiac monitoring, advanced airway management, intravenous medications, and other critical interventions performed in the field.

ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (als)

Advanced EMTs expand upon basic care with additional clinical capabilities, including intravenous access, fluid administration, and select medications. This allows important treatment to begin before arrival at the hospital.

INTERMEDIATE ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (ials)

Our EMTs provide essential assessment, stabilization, and treatment for illness and injury. BLS care may include airway support, bleeding control, splinting, medication assistance, and continued monitoring during transport.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)

The right level of care for every response:

Treatment Begins Where the Emergency Happens.

An ambulance is more than transportation to the hospital. It is a mobile clinical environment equipped to bring trained professionals, lifesaving technology, and time-sensitive treatment directly to the patient.

From the first assessment through arrival at the emergency department, our clinicians continually evaluate the patient, provide treatment, communicate with receiving hospitals, and adapt as conditions change. That continuity of care helps ensure the hospital is prepared for what comes next.

The care provided during an emergency is supported by preparation that begins well before our crews are dispatched. Continual training, clinical oversight, quality improvement, and careful equipment readiness help ensure our clinicians can respond with skill and confidence.

We also work closely with fire departments, law enforcement, hospital teams, and neighboring EMS agencies to support a coordinated regional response. Combined with specialized clinical initiatives—including advanced prehospital sepsis care—these partnerships help connect patients with the right treatment and resources from the scene through arrival at the hospital.
