Cover Call Tracker

Warwick Community Ambulance is committed to transparency and accountability in emergency medical response. Our Cover Call Tracker provides real-time data on incidents where we respond outside our primary coverage area, helping residents understand why they may see our ambulances in their community.

This tracker only includes calls where our crews arrived on the scene and provided patient care—whether as the transporting ambulance or as an intercept paramedic assisting another EMS agency. Many of these responses occur under mutual aid agreements, which exist to ensure emergency coverage when a neighboring service is temporarily overwhelmed.

However, mutual aid is intended as a safety net, not a staffing strategy. When agencies rely too heavily on mutual aid instead of maintaining appropriate EMS coverage, it shifts the burden onto surrounding agencies and can lead to longer response times and resource strain. The public deserves to know when this happens, as it affects the availability of emergency care across the region.

By tracking and sharing this data, Warwick EMS aims to foster a fair and balanced mutual aid system while advocating for sustainable EMS staffing in every community.
